Our People

We want Matthew Algie to be a great place to work. We want to enable our people to succeed. We engage and listen to our employees via engagement surveys and regular employee forums. Protecting our employees’ human rights, improving their wellbeing and promoting an inclusive working culture is always at the forefront of our minds.

  • We offer opportunities for young people to work with us on apprenticeships or student placements. Several have joined the Matthew Algie team on a permanent basis as a result
  • We have taken steps to improve our employee benefits package by offering Perkbox and Medicash. 
  •  We have held the Real Living Wage accreditation since 2021.
  • We have a zero-tolerance approach to human rights violations at any point in our supply chain. We are transparent in our approach in this area, consistent with our disclosure obligations  under the Modern Slavery Act.
  • We have assigned responsibility for addressing modern slavery and human trafficking at board-level
  • Key individuals have undertaken modern slavery prevention training from recognised external organisation..
