1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Matthew Algie (Ireland) LTD. (“the Promoter”).
Registered address: 5 Ferguson Drive, Lisburn, Northern Ireland, BT28 2EX.
Tesco Ireland and Tesco NI are acting as collaborators, but are not the promoters of this competition.

2. Eligibility

2.1 This competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, aged 16 years or over.
2.2 Employees of the Promoter, Tesco Ireland, Tesco NI, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
2.3 By entering the competition, participants confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements.

3. How to Enter

3.1 To enter, participants must enter, between 1 December 2025 and 25 December 2025 (inclusive):

• Purchase a Smokin’ Bean coffee.

• Take a photo featuring a Smokin Bean festive cup.

• Post it on Instagram or TikTok.

• Include the hashtag #FestiveSmokinBean.

• Tag @SmokinBeanIreland, and either:

  • @TescoIreland (for entries in the Republic of Ireland), or

  • @TescoNI (for entries in Northern Ireland).

3.2 Social media accounts must be set to public for the duration of the competition and judging period so entries can be viewed.
3.3 Only posts made on the main social feed will be counted (Stories and private messages will not be accepted).
3.4 Multiple entries per person are permitted. Each eligible entry will be counted, provided all submission requirements are met.
3.5 Entries that do not fully meet the requirements will not be accepted.

4. Entry Requirements

4.1 Entries must be original, created by the participant, and must not infringe the rights of any third party.
4.2 Entries must not contain unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to moderate, remove, or disqualify entries that breach these Terms & Conditions or appear fraudulent.

5. Competition Period

5.1 The competition opens on 1 December at 00:01 2025 and closes on 25 December at 23:59 2025.
5.2 Entries submitted outside this period will not be accepted.

6. Prize

6.1 There are 10 prizes available.
6.2 Each winner will receive free Smokin Bean coffee for the month of January 2025, defined as one (1) standard coffee per day between 1–31 January 2025.
6.3 Prize fulfilment method (e.g., vouchers, digital credits, loyalty card activation) will be confirmed directly with each winner.
6.4 Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value if necessary.

7. Winner Selection & Notification

7.1 All valid entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Promoter.
7.2 Winners will be chosen based on:

• Creativity, and Festive theme/visual appeal.

• 
  7.3 Winners will be selected and contacted via direct message on Instagram or TikTok during the last week of December  (they will be messaged by @SmokinBeanIreland).
  7.4 Winners must respond within 5 working days of first contact. If a winner does not respond, the Promoter may select a reserve winner.
  7.5 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Use of Entries & Intellectual Property

8.1 By entering the competition, participants grant Matthew Algie (Ireland) LTD. Tesco Ireland, and Tesco NI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display their photo entry (including caption and social media handle) for marketing, promotional, and PR purposes across:

• Social media channels

• Websites

• In-store materials

• Digital and print advertising

8.2 Where reasonable, the Promoter will credit the participant’s social media handle.

9. Data Protection

9.1 Personal data supplied for this promotion will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy:

9.2 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required for prize fulfilment.

10. Liability

10.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for:

• Lost, delayed, or undeliverable entries

• Technical issues or platform outages

• User errors, including incorrect tagging or private accounts

• Inaccessibility due to social media settings

10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from participation or prize acceptance.

11. Social Media Disclaimer

11.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or TikTok.
11.2 Participants release Instagram and TikTok from any liability in connection with this competition.

12. General

12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances outside its control make this unavoidable.
12.2 The Promoter may disqualify any participant suspected of cheating, tampering, or attempting to circumvent the rules.
12.3 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Participants agree that the courts of each region shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with this competition.
