Throughout the many years we’ve been sourcing and roasting coffee, we’ve seen the challenges faced by coffee farmers first hand. Factors like climate change, urban migration and low profitability all threaten the livelihoods of smallholder coffee farmers, so developing revolutionary new ways of working is essential.
Since the mid-1990s we have:
- Ensured 95% of the coffee we buy has at least one, if not more, sustainable certifications
- Developed direct partnerships with key suppliers to raise the bar on quality and sustainability And it’s not just coffee sourcing.
We are committed to sustainably sourcing and producing tea, hot chocolate and many other products. We give back to the community, both at origin and on a local level. Our Glasgow roastery is the first coffee roastery in the world to achieve the Carbon Neutral Gold Standard. And we’re not stopping there. We recognise that there’s so much more that we could be doing and see this as an opportunity to set meaningful priorities and take genuine and radical steps in the right direction.
