The latest opportunity to participate comes in the shape of the confusingly good Tiki Decaf. The caffeine is removed using the Swiss Water process – which contrary to the name, doesn’t involve glacial lakes and a reliable rail service. Instead, it ditches the suspect chemicals – removing the caffeine by fair means alone, but without ditching the flavour.
As self-confessed caffeine snobs, we were unprepared for the taste. Most customers would be hard-pushed to spot the missing ingredient. Honest.
Tiki Espresso has also received a boost – thanks to the higher quality and wider choice of Fairtrade organic beans. Now if that doesn’t put your mind at rest, nothing will.
